The Centre for Comprehensive Social Policy Studies presented its papers, namely: Elena Selezneva, senior research fellow, presented her report "Prevention in old age: basic and deviant health life styles" and Anna Ermolina, junior research fellow, Oksana Sinyavskaya, center director, Elisaveta Lyubushina, research assistant, presented their report "Mobility on the labour market as the strategy of economic activity in older age."

During the session, Lilia Ovcharova, director for Social Studies, HSE, director of the Institute for Social Policy, presented a joint report of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) and the Center for Strategic Research “How to increase human capital and its contribution into economic and social development.”

On March 12, 2018, Lilia Ovcharova, director of the Institute, took part in the “Moscow Active Longevity 2018” Forum
The Forum was held within the framework of the Moscow Government pilot project aimed at creating better conditions for the elderly Muscovites. The forum participants discussed various city programs aimed at helping senior citizens to realize their full potential. The programs will provide elderly people with the opportunities of studies, employment, and leisure and sport activities.
Russian population in 2017: incomes, expenses and social well-being. HSE monitoring: results of the year
A new issue of the HSE Monitoring of the incomes, expenses and social well-being of the Russia population was published on the page of the Institute for Social Policy. The final issue for 2017 contains official statistics review for 12 months of the past year and analysis of four waves of data specially organized for monitoring the population survey.
On February 15, 2018, the roundtable on "Myths of Old Age" was held at the Kudrin Foundation for the Development of Civil Initiatives. The event was attended by Lilia Ovcharova, director of the Institute for Social Policy, and Oxana Sinyavskaya, deputy director of this institute.
On February 7, 2018, a Social forum on the topic “Responsible business-government cooperation for sustainable social development” was held within the framework of the Russian Business week. Lilia Ovcharova, director of the Institute for Social Policy, co-moderated the discussion.

The International Scientifi Conference "Active Age: Seniors on the Labour Market in Germany and Russia" organized by the Institute for Social Policy of the Higher School of Economics and the Department of Labour, Social Affairs and Health of the German Embassy in Russia, was held in Moscow on 22 January 2018.
On January 16, 2018, an expert discussion “Will the social policy remain a national priority?” was held within the framework of the Gaidar forum. Lilia Ovcharova, director of the Institute for Social Policy, and Natalia Zubarevich, chief research fellow of the Centre for Studies of Income and Living Standards of this Institute, took part in the discussion.
