How will the Pushkin Mikhailovskoye Nature Reserve develop in the next decade?
The VIII International Forum of Literary Museums was held in the State Memorial Historical, Literary and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin "Mikhailovskoye" (Pushkin Reserve) in the Pskov region from October 5 to 9.
Within the framework of this representative forum, a separate day (October 7) was specially dedicated to the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Pushkin Reserve, at which the concept of its development for the period up to 2037 was discussed.
Pavel Shulgin and Olga Shtele reported on the concept of its development until 2037 at the Scientific Council of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve.
Pavel Shulgin, head of the Centre for Regional Programmes of Social and Cultural Development, scientific director of the concept development team, made a detailed report at the Academic Council. The discussion of the concept was attended by the heads of literary museums, representatives of the museum community, Pushkin scholars.
The concept includes an analysis of the main periods in the activities of the Pushkin Reserve, the directions of the museum-reserve's activities for the future, the tasks of managing the territory of the Pushkin Reserve and protecting memorial sites, projects for the development of estate museums and other territorial complexes of the Pushkin Reserve, issues of improving tourist and social infrastructure.
The Scientific Council of the Pushkin Reserve approved the provisions of the considered concept.
