Pavel Shulgin and Olga Shtele took part in the international conference devoted to historical and cultural territories

On October 10 and 11, 2019, an international scientific conference "Preservation and Development of Historical and Cultural Territories: Problems, Prospects, Modern Trends" was held at the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS).

The conference was opened by Pavel Shulgin, Head of the Centre for Regional Programmes of Social and Cultural Development  and Olga Shtele, Leading Expert of the same Centre. Their report on "Forming Cultural Frame means Using Historical and Cultural Areas Potentialas in a Strategic Way" formulated the basis of cultural frameworking at the national and regional levels, shared possible solutions for nationwide issues of structuring cultural frame and presented the case of Tyumen region. The conference also heard some cases showing the involvement of specific urban and rural settlements in the cultural framework and calculations of social and economic efficiency of such projects.
