Daniel Kashnitsky took part in the 19th Nordic Migration Research Conference

The Conference took place on 15-17 August 2018 and was hosted by the Institute for Research on Migration, Ethnicity and Society of the Linköping University, Sweden. Daniel presented a paper called "A trap of forced illegality for HIV-positive migrants in Russia".

The presentation of Daniel focused on the vulnerability of HIV-positive migrant workers living in Russia who live under constant threat of deportation and lack of access to treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS.

The research that Daniel is carrying out within the framework of his PhD project is aimed to explore the barriers and informal strategies of labor migrants in access to health services.
