On March 12, 2018, Lilia Ovcharova, director of the Institute, took part in the “Moscow Active Longevity 2018” Forum

The Forum was held within the framework of the Moscow Government pilot project aimed at creating better conditions for the elderly Muscovites. The forum participants discussed various city programs aimed at helping senior citizens to realize their full potential. The programs will provide elderly people with the opportunities of studies, employment, and leisure and sport activities.

Lilia Ovcharova participated in the panel discussion “Society Resources: In the benefit of the older generation” which covered the topics “Thinking about the elderly – Thinking about future”, “State, Non-profit Institutions or Business:we should keep seniors in focus regardless of the field of work”, “Information support and modern communication for the elderly”. Vladimir Petrosyan, Moscow Government Minister, Head of the Labor and Social Welfare Department, PhD in Social Sciences,  moderated the discussion and participated as a speaker at the Forum closing session on the subject “Expending non-government sector participation.”
