Daniil Kashnitsky speaks at an international seminar in Sweden

On May 27, 2020, Daniil Kashnitsky, Junior Researcher at the Center for Qualitative Research, presented at an international seminar on Global and Sexual Health at the Caroline Institute, Stockholm, Sweden

Sweden is the first EU country to achieve the UN targets in providing HIV care, it provides HIV care to all foreign migrants, regardless of their legal status. In Russia, a residence permit is not granted to international migrants with HIV. However, many barriers to HIV care are similar in the two countries. For example, stigmatization of migrants with HIV, as well as problems in communication with medical staff of the general medical care.

After the presentation, seminar participants discussed potential cooperation and joint international project in the field of migrant health in the European Union and in Russia.
