Svetlana Mareeva on the boundaries of well-being and ill-being in modern Russian society

On June 17, 2019, new website dedicated to economic and financial research “Econs. Economic Conversations” (managed by the staff of the Bank of Russia) published the article “Finding the Boundaries of Well-being” by Svetlana Mareeva, Director of the Center for Stratification Studies.

In the article Svetlana Mareeva explained the main methods that are used to assess the well-being and ill-being of population according to incomes, showed the approach that is better applicable to Russia and demonstrated how modern Russian society looks today in terms of the proportion of prosperous and disadvantaged groups.
