Lilia Ovcharova, Director of the Institute for Social Policy, took part in the meeting of the working group of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives on the 'Social services' section

The objective of the working group is to expend the longevity and raise the quality of life of the population by improving the availability and the quality of social services.

The autonomous nonprofit organization Agency for Strategic Initiatives for New Projects Promotion carries out the initiative ‘New opportunities in the social field’. The initiative seeks to increase the quality and availability of social services by bringing in non-state sector. 

The experts aim to reveal the real scope of the citizens in need of social care, to increase the share of the non-state organization involved in the sphere and to implement the quality control system of social services.

The working group includes more than 50 experts – representatives of government, business associations, various businesses, public and private organizations. Among  the experts are: Svetlana Petrova, Deputy Minister of  the Ministry of Labour, Veronika Sergeeva, Deputy Director of the Department of Statutory Budgetary Regulation of Ministry of Finance, Alexey Koshelev, Vice-President of the Social Insurance Fund, Elena Dybova, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mikhail Alashkevich, Vice-President of the VEB RF, Maria Morozova, Director General of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Foundation, Elena Tonoleva-Soldunova, Director of the  autonomous nonprofit organization Agency for Social Information, Olesya Kolomeitseva, GR-Director of the Vera Hospice Charity Organization.
