Lilia Ovcharova and Oksana Sinyavskaya talk about the influence of the retirement-age increasing program on the career of women
On June 14, 2018, business newspaper “Vzglyad” published comments by Lilia Ovcharova, director of the Institute for Social Policy, and Oksana Sinyavskaya, deputy director, on pension reform and its impact on the career of women.
"In all countries that implemented programs to increase the retirement age, this positively influenced the career of women with higher education. This led to the retention of high-paid jobs for women," said Lilia Ovcharova.
"In Russia, almost every second woman works during the first five years after retirement. At least up to 60 years, the employment rate of women remains quite high," said Oksana Sinyavskaya.
