The scientific project 1.1.6 Time Use Indicators for Measuring National Well-being (2021 – present) within the framework of the Program for the Creation and Development of The world-class Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center

The scientific project Time Use in the Context of the Development of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Digitalization Processes (2021), implemented with the financial support of the HSE University Applied Research Development Fund within the framework of extra-budgetary funding for the establishment and development of The world-class Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center

 

The major HSE project Economic Behavior of Households (RU) (2023 – present) is aimed at the design and development of tools, analysis and monitoring of the economic behavior of Russian households in the new economic environment. The project publishes a quarterly barometer with the main results of the project.

Thanks to an innovative method of data collection, there is a unique opportunity to study not only the structure of time budgets, but also parallel activities, the relationship of time use with incomes, expenditures, and consumption of paid services aimed at reducing household unpaid labor. Moreover, time allocation styles and time satisfaction are analyzed.

 

The applied project Development of a Standard of Income Well-being of Families of Different Composition and Assessment of Conditions for its Implementation in Russian Regions (2024). The project develops a tool for measuring the well-being of the Russian population with the possibility of regional comparison.

The project reviews and systematizes the accumulated Russian and international experience in studying and assessing the well-being of the population, analyzes expert opinion on the conceptualization and measurement of well-being, and develops a tool for assessing the well-being of the Russian population.

 

The scientific project Life Choice: Rationality in Conditions of Turbulence (2022–2023) carried out under the scope of the Strategic Project Social Policy for Sustainable Development of Inclusive Economic Growth within the framework of the Federal Academic Leadership Programme Priority 2030.

Within the framework of the research project, the Centre for Well-being and Time Use Research studies the strategies of time allocation between different activities of the population and analyzes the components of these strategies in the context of making choices. In addition, a study of the phenomenon of “web of time”, which reflects the processes of time allocation between different family members, is conducted.
